According to an article of the Washington Post, in 2015 among the top 10 of the World’s most photographed sites, 3 destinations were Italians: Rome, Venice and Florence respectively in the 2nd, 6th and 8th position.
Being not only destinations of cultural importance but also some of the most visited places through the World, these cities are the same we encouraged you to visit and portray in our photo tours because we are sure you will love this places and their surroundings as we do. Just to let you know a bit more abut these cities, in this post we want to highlight some of their most charming expressions and the sensations you will feel while travelling there.
Let’s start with the first of our destinations: Rome. The eternal city is a beloved destination since centuries and so many are the landmarks you can capture with your camera. But to portray the many faces of the city we suggest you to walk in its streets even during some of the most un-touristic times of the day and of the year, and capture the day-to-day activity of the people that characterizes every urban area.
Strolling along in its cobblestone alleys is a perfect way to discover the true essence of Rome, from the most historical up to the most creative one and from an urban corner up to a more bucolic one. Have fun while trying to discover all the many historical phases of the city in its architecture. Find the main elements and all the contrasting part of these moments while capturing images with your camera. And remember, beauty lies even in the smaller details!
Venice, is the second city of our list and the 6th on the Washington post one. It is romantic, poetical and charming, but also unique for its characteristics and history. Beside its shape and structure it also has a marked artistic nature, in fact, it hosts some important museums of different character among which the Biennale of Venice or the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
The beauty and charm of Venice by the way, lies in every corner, window and light of the city, and not only in its major landmarks. It resides in the steady movements of the Canal Grande and in the slow bustle of the Gondole as well as in the walls of the historic palaces or in the workshops of the glass artisans.
Enjoy the city during the early morning and get in touch with true Venetians people before the arrive of the tourists, you will not regret the early wake up.
Artisans are a significant element even in the sumptuous Florence, the 8th destination of the list. And we couldn’t be more agree. Gem of Tuscany, the small city is chest full of treasures and beside its dimensions there is so much to see and discover through the walls of this city. Florence is pure history, it is a walk back to past times full of charm and mystery.
Historic relics and artistic masterpieces are just few of the many opportunities this city offers to visitors and inhabitants. Being surrounded by a marvelous countryside, Florence is a perfect place for a bucolic walk through the many colors, shades and varieties of the Mediterranean Flora and to taste some of the popular products of this area.
Wine and food itineraries are available for any passionate of the topic (and who it is not when talking about Italy?) and nature intertwines with cultural heritage, history and architecture creating a stunning frame.
Enjoy the beauty of the city and its splendor as well as the colors and the tranquility of the countryside. Don’t be afraid of distance yourself from the city: walk through the nature and observe the city rising from the hills. We are sure you will be amazed by this view.
We travel to discover new places, to meet new cultures and learn new things; and everywhere we discover a bit more of ourselves, no matter the age!
Discover your soul and be amazed in any of these cities: they all have an evocative power able not only to recall in our imaginary some symbolic representations of past times rich in attractiveness and mystique, but also able to draft a mark in our future life and personality.
