- Hello Mattia and welcome on Master Photo Tour. Let’s talk about your passion for photography, you are so young but already part of such an important team: Nikon. How did you reach this level? tell us about your story!
I started taking photos almost 4 years ago, using a smartphone, then I bought a reflex camera, The Nikon D7000. Shooting day by day I was able to improve my skills. I’m really active on every social network especially facebook and instagram. At a certain point I decided to open the “Nikon Italia” profile on instagram, but I had no authorization to use the trademark, so Nikon closed the account.
So I wrote an email asking if it was possible to collaborate in some ways, and the replied me to get in contact with the Italian team, and I did. They replied that I did a great job managing the account for three months and getting more than 5000 followers, finally they said yes; I started in this way working with the Nikon Italia Team.

- Which is your favorite subject to portray?
I decided to concentrate myself on landscape photography because living on Lake Garda, it allows you to capture beautiful nature and landscape shots, but I also do portrait pictures or sport photos. I have no limits and every time that I have to do something new, for me it is like a challenge and I must complete it.

- Photography is art indeed, and being so young we can ask you which are according to you the main new tendencies of photography?
New tendencies in photography, that’s not an easy question, well with social media you can easily notice new trends in taking photos, new styles and ways to approach to photography.
Actually the pictures that liked the most are about the everyday’s life with a cinematic vision, using warm or cold colors and finding awesome spot often in abandoned buildings and remote locations such as mountains peaks or the middle of a river.

- Which suggestion would you give to other people that are approaching to photography?
When approaching to photography for the very first time, the most important thing is to enjoy, start discovering a completely new world and push your fantasy and imagination, don’t set any limits in your mind.
- Which is according to you the main goal of photography? What should a picture communicate? And how can it reach its purpose?
Photography is a way to communicate, a way to say something using just colors, shadows, lights and shapes. Normally if someone ask you why you took a photo, that means that your shot has a low impact, maybe it is better if you try to get some feedback to improve the way you create your images.
