When did you start with photography? Where does this passion come from?
To be honest, I don’t remember when I created the actual passion for visual art. I guess I was always fascinated by beautiful things and capturing beautiful moments became a habit since I got my first camera, when I was 11 years old.
Where do you come from? Has this place been your first photographic subject?
It’s hard to say where I am exactly from. I have Russian, Polish and Georgian roots.
I was born in Germany, but grew up in other six countries.
Growing up in so many places definitely impacted the way I view the world. It also made me want to photograph certain moments, to make keep them in my memory, before I moved to another country.
What should photography communicate according to you?
The beauty of people and world we are living in.
Why is so important to capture photographs while travelling according to you?
To spread the message that the world is full of beauty and that along the way you will meet kind, helpful and openminded people. The more you travel, the more you realise that what is portrayed through mass media is very often misleading. And there’s much more kindness than anger in this world.
Have you ever been to South Tyrol and what do you associate with this region?
Never been and really excited to explore this region.
